ACCESSING, BROWSING OR OTHERWISE USING MI PAY AND THE SERVICES PROVIDED BY XIAOMI THROUGH MI PAY INDICATES YOUR AGREEMENT TO ALL THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UNDER THESE TERMS OF USE AND THE PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS OF USE AND THE PRIVACY POLICY OR ANY SUBSEQUENT MODIFICATIONS THERETO OR BECOME DISSATISFIED WITH MI PAY IN ANY WAY, YOU MUST IMMEDIATELY TERMINATE THE USE OF MI PAY AND NOTIFY US BY SENDING AN EMAIL TO SERVICE.IN@XIAOMI.COM.

A. GENERAL

Mi Pay is operated by Xiaomi Technology India Private Limited, a company incorporated under the laws of India having its registered office at Orchid, Block E, Embassy Tech Village, Marathahalli-Sarjapur Outer Ring Road, Bangalore- 560103 ( “Xiaomi”).

Through Mi Pay, Xiaomi provides a platform over the Internet through mobile devices (“Devices”), to users resident in India, to transfer money, accept money, and make payments to other users, merchants, billers or other third parties (collectively, “Payments”) using Unified Payment Interface (“UPI”), debit card, credit card and/or any other payment instruments accepted through Mi Pay (collectively, “Services”). For the purpose of enabling you to make Payments, Xiaomi uses the services of banks, financial institutions, card associations, payment/bill aggregators and other third parties (collectively, “Payment Partners”).

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • Xiaomi is not a licensed financial institution and it is merely a facilitator of Payments.

  • Xiaomi is not responsible for any service interruptions or acts or omissions of the Payment Partners.

  • Xiaomi is not responsible to you with respect to any aspect of the products and/or services purchased by you using Mi Pay, including its merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, security or accuracy.

B. ELIGIBILITY

The use of Mi Pay is available only to persons who can form legally binding contracts under Indian Contract Act, 1872. Persons who are “incompetent to contract” within the meaning of the Indian Contract Act, 1872 including minors, un-discharged insolvents etc. are not eligible to use Mi Pay. If you are a minor i.e. under the age of 18 years, you shall not register on Mi Pay and shall not transact on or use Mi Pay. As a minor if you wish to use or transact on Mi Pay, such use or transaction may be made by your legal guardian or parents on Mi Pay. Xiaomi reserves the right to terminate your membership and/or refuse to provide you with access to Mi Pay if it is brought to Xiaomi's notice or if it is discovered that you are under the age of 18 years. You further agree that you are not barred or otherwise legally prohibited from accessing or using Mi Pay under the laws of India.

If you violate any of these Terms of Use, Xiaomi may terminate your membership, delete your account on Mi Pay (“Mi Pay Account”) and any related information and/or prohibit you from using or accessing Mi Pay at any time in its sole discretion.

You agree that Xiaomi is in no way responsible for the accuracy, timeliness or completeness of information obtained from the Payment Partners. Your interaction with any Payment Partner through Mi Pay is at your own risk, and Xiaomi will have no liability with respect to the acts, omissions, errors, representations, warranties, breaches or negligence of any such Payment Partner or for any damages or expenses resulting from your interactions with the Payment Partners. You agree and acknowledge that in addition to these Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, your use of the Services will also be governed by any additional terms that may be imposed by the Payment Partners from time to time.

C. MODIFICATIONS AND UPDATES TO MI PAY

Xiaomi is committed to ensuring that Mi Pay is as useful and efficient as possible. For this reason, Xiaomi reserves the right to make changes to or update Mi Pay or to charge for its Services, at any time and for any reason. You will be required to download the updates if you want to keep using Mi Pay. Xiaomi does not promise that it will always update Mi Pay so that it is relevant to you and/or that the updated versions of Mi Pay will always be compatible with your Device.

D. REGISTRATION AND USE

(i) Creating an Account

You may access and create an account on Mi Pay only if you have a Mi Account. If you do not have a Mi Account, it can be created by visiting https://account.xiaomi.com/ .

For the purpose of registering on and using Mi Pay, you will be required to use your Mi Account to create your Mi Pay Account and furnish certain information and details, including your name, email address, contact number and any other information deemed necessary by Xiaomi for the purposes of providing the Services on Mi Pay. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your Mi Pay Account, password and activities that occur in or through your Mi Pay Account and for restricting access to your Device to prevent unauthorized access to your Mi Pay Account. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur in or through your Mi Pay Account by you and anyone using your password and login information (with or without your permission). You shall inform us immediately by writing to us at service.in@xiaomi.com if you have any reason to believe that your Mi Pay Account password has become known to anyone else, or if the password is being, or is likely to be, used in an unauthorized manner or in case of a suspected unauthorized use of your Mi Pay Account.

You unequivocally agree to provide true, correct, accurate and complete information about yourself. You can access and update your information by signing into your Mi Pay Account on Mi Pay or by writing to us at service.in@xiaomi.com.

If you provide any information that is untrue, inaccurate, not updated or incomplete (or becomes untrue, inaccurate, not updated or incomplete), or Xiaomi has reasonable grounds to suspect that the information provided by you is untrue, wrong, inaccurate or incorrect, Xiaomi shall have the right to immediately suspend or terminate your Mi Pay Account without any prior notice or liability in this regard and refuse any and all current or future use of Mi Pay (or any portion thereof) or Services in connection thereto. Xiaomi shall not be responsible for any data lost while transmitting information on the internet.

(ii) Terms of Use of the Services

By agreeing to these Terms of Use, you hereby agree to the following terms for the specific Services,, which may be updated from time to time.

E. YOUR PRIVACY

“Personal Information” means information that can be used to identify an individual, either from that information alone or from that information combined with other information that Xiaomi has access to, or is likely to have, of that individual. Such Personal Information may include your name, address, account number, telephone number, email address and other sensitive personal information or personally identifiable information.

Xiaomi collects, receives, possesses, stores, deals or handles your Personal Information only if it is necessary to provide the Services to you. By agreeing to use Mi Pay and the Services, you expressly consent to Xiaomi’s use and disclosure of your Personal Information in accordance with the Privacy Policy available at https://h5.in.intl.mipay.com/term/index.html#privacy, only if it is necessary to provide the Services to you.

You, at all times, have the option of not providing your Personal Information by choosing not to use a particular Service or feature that Mi Pay offers. If you do not provide your Personal Information, Xiaomi has the right not to provide you with the particular Service or feature that requires such information.

Xiaomi may collect the following types of information (which may or may not be Personal Information) from you:

  • Information you provide to us or upload (including your contact details)

  • Device or SIM-related information

  • Information specific to you that may be assigned by us (including your Mi Account ID)

  • Non-sensitive payment information as per the security standards

  • Log information

  • Other information like environmental characteristics value (ECV) (i.e. value generated from Mi Account ID, phone device ID, connected Wi-Fi ID and location value).

Personal information is collected for providing Services to you, and legal compliance on Xiaomi’s part under applicable laws. You hereby expressly consent that Xiaomi may process and disclose Personal Information to Xiaomi’s affiliates and the Payment Partners for the purposes stated in the Privacy Policy. Xiaomi will only so use your Personal Information after it has obtained your consent or indication of no objection in accordance with applicable data protection laws, which may require separate explicit consent.

Xiaomi does not sell any Personal Information to third parties. Xiaomi may disclose your Personal Information on occasion to its Payment Partners in order to provide the Services that you have requested. You can be assured that Xiaomi will only share your Personal Information in accordance with your consent. You should know that when Xiaomi shares your Personal Information with a third party, Xiaomi will contractually specify that the third party is subject to practices and obligations to comply with applicable data protection laws. However, Xiaomi is not responsible for any breach of security or for any actions of any third parties that receive your Personal Information.

Xiaomi may disclose your Personal Information without further consent when required under applicable laws.

To the extent that Xiaomi may need to transfer Personal Information outside of your jurisdiction, Xiaomi shall do so in accordance with and to the extent permitted under applicable laws. In particular, Xiaomi will ensure that all transfers will be in accordance with requirements under your applicable local data protection laws by putting in place appropriate safeguards. No financial information will be transferred out of India.

F. YOUR OBLIGATIONS WHEN USING MI PAY

You may only use Mi Pay to use the Services that may be offered on Mi Pay. You shall not use Mi Pay to make any fraudulent transactions. You agree not to use Mi Pay for any purpose that is unlawful, illegal or forbidden by these Terms of Use, or any applicable laws. Xiaomi may, at its sole discretion, at any time and without prior notice or liability, impose additional requirements and restrictions or suspend, terminate or restrict your access to Mi Pay (or any portions thereof) if it is discovered or it comes to Xiaomi’s notice that you have breached these Terms of Use or any applicable laws.

You must be the sole owner and user of your Mi Account and Mi Pay Account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your Account, password or UPI PIN and activities that occur in or through your Mi Pay Account and for restricting access to your Device to prevent unauthorized access to your Account.

If you are a business entity, you agree that all officers, employees, agents, representatives and others having access to the credentials of your Mi Pay Account have been duly authorized by you to use the Services on your behalf and to legally bind you. You shall be responsible for all actions by current and former officers, employees, agents, representatives and others, regardless of whether authorized by you, that access the Services from your registered Mi Pay Account..

You further agree that you shall not:

  • Impersonate another person;

  • Violate any code of conduct or other guidelines, which may be applicable for or to any particular portion of Mi Pay;

  • Violate any applicable laws for the time being in force in or outside India;

  • Violate, abuse, unethically manipulate or exploit these Terms of Use or any terms of the Privacy Policy;

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion or feature of Mi Pay, or any other systems or networks connected to Mi Pay or to any server, computer, network, or to any of the Services offered on or through Mi Pay by hacking, password “mining” or any other illegitimate means;

  • Probe, scan or test the vulnerability of Mi Pay or any network connected to Mi Pay or breach the security or authentication measures on Mi Pay or any network connected to Mi Pay;

  • Reverse look-up, trace or seek to trace any information of any other user of Mi Pay, including any account on Mi Pay not owned by you, to its source, or exploit Mi Pay or any service or information made available or offered by or through Mi Pay, in any way where the purpose is to reveal any information, including but not limited to personal identification or information, other than your own information, as provided for by Mi Pay;

  • Make any negative, denigrating or defamatory statement(s) or comment(s) about Xiaomi;

G. COMMUNICATION

By making use of Mi Pay, and furnishing your personal/contact details, you hereby agree that you are interested in availing of the Services that you have selected. You hereby agree that Xiaomi may contact you either electronically or through phone, to understand your interest in the selected Services and to assist you in completing your transactions. You specifically understand and agree that by using Mi Pay you authorize Xiaomi and the Payment Partners to contact you for any follow up calls in relation to the Services provided through Mi Pay. You expressly waive the Do Not Call registrations on your phone/mobile numbers for contacting you for this purpose. You also agree that Xiaomi reserves the right to make your contact details available to the Payment Partners and you may be contacted by the Payment Partners for information and sales through email, telephone and/or SMS. You agree to receive promotional materials and/or special offers from Xiaomi through emails or SMS.

H. LICENSE AND ACCESS

Xiaomi is the owner/rights holder of all rights, titles and interest including any and all intellectual property rights in Mi Pay. Xiaomi grants you a limited license to access and use Mi Pay for personal, non-commercial use. This license is non-transferable and it does not confer any right to download, copy, create a derivative work from, modify, reverse engineer, reverse assemble or otherwise attempt to discover any source code, sell, assign, sub-license, grant a security interest in or otherwise transfer any right in Mi Pay or the Services provided thereon. You do not have the right to use any of Xiaomi’s trade names, trademarks, service marks, logos, domain names, and other distinctive brand features. You may use information on the Services made available on Mi Pay for downloading, provided that you (i) do not remove any proprietary notice language in all copies of such documents, (ii) use such information only for your personal, non-commercial informational purpose and do not copy or post such information on any networked computer or broadcast it in any media, (iii) make no modifications to any such information; and (iv) do not make any additional representations or warranties relating to such documents. Except as expressly provided in these Terms of Use, no part of Mi Pay may be copied, reproduced, republished, uploaded, posted, publicly displayed, encoded, translated, transmitted or distributed in any way (including “mirroring”) to any other computer, server, website or other medium for publication or distribution or for any commercial enterprise, without Xiaomi's express prior written consent. Any unauthorized use of Mi Pay may result in immediate revocation of the license granted to you by Xiaomi.

I. MONITORING OF YOUR MI PAY ACCOUNT

Xiaomi has the right but not the obligation to monitor your use of Mi Pay and share information with any governmental, legislative, judicial or quasi-judicial authority of competent jurisdiction upon receipt of an order requiring such disclosure.

J. SERVICE SUSPENSION

Xiaomi may wish to stop providing Services through Mi Pay, and may terminate your use of it at any time without any prior notice or liability to you. Unless Xiaomi informs you otherwise, upon any termination, (a) the rights and licenses granted to you under these Terms of Use shall stand revoked; and (b) you shall stop using Mi Pay. Xiaomi reserves the right to suspend or cease providing any Service and shall have no liability or responsibility to you in any manner whatsoever if it chooses to do so.

K. DISCLAIMER

MI PAY, INCLUDING ALL SERVICES, CONTENT, SOFTWARE, FUNCTIONS, MATERIALS, AND INFORMATION MADE AVAILABLE ON, PROVIDED IN CONNECTION WITH OR ACCESSIBLE THROUGH MI PAY, ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT ANY REPRESENTATION OR WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED EXCEPT OTHERWISE SPECIFIED IN WRITING. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY LAW, XIAOMI EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND SECURITY AND ACCURACY, AS WELL AS ALL WARRANTIES ARISING BY USAGE OF TRADE, COURSE OF DEALING, OR COURSE OF PERFORMANCE. XIAOMI DOES NOT WARRANT THAT: (I) THE CONTENT ON MI PAY WILL BE UP-TO-DATE, COMPLETE, COMPREHENSIVE, ACCURATE OR APPLICABLE TO YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES; (II) MI PAY OR ANY SERVICES OFFERED THROUGH MI PAY WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR WILL BE AVAILABLE ON AN UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE BASIS; (III) THE RESULTS THAT MAY BE OBTAINED FROM THE USE OF MI PAY OR ANY SERVICES OFFERED THROUGH MI PAY WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE; OR (IV) THE QUALITY OF THE SERVICES, INFORMATION, OR OTHER MATERIAL OBTAINED BY YOU THROUGH MI PAY WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS. XIAOMI SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO SYSTEM FAILURES OR OTHER INTERRUPTIONS THAT MAY AFFECT THE RECEIPT, PROCESSING, ACCEPTANCE, COMPLETION OR SETTLEMENT OF PAYMENTS OR THE SERVICES. XIAOMI SHALL ALSO NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DATA LOST WHILE TRANSMITTING INFORMATION ON THE INTERNET.

L. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

IN NO EVENT SHALL XIAOMI BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES FOR ANY INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE OR EXEMPLARY, DAMAGES OR LOSSES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES WHICH MAY BE INCURRED IN CONNECTION WITH MI PAY OR ANY SERVICES OFFERED THROUGH MI PAY, OR ANY GOODS OR SERVICES PURCHASED, RECEIVED, SOLD, OR PAID FOR BY WAY OF THE SERVICES THROUGH MI PAY, REGARDLESS OF THE TYPE OF CLAIM OR THE NATURE OF THE CAUSE OF ACTION, EVEN IF XIAOMI HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE OR LOSS. IN NO EVENT SHALL XIAOMI’S TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OF USE EXCEED .

M. INDEMNITY

You shall indemnify and hold harmless Xiaomi Payment Partners and its and their respective officers, directors, agents, and employees from any and against any claims, causes of action, demands, recoveries, losses, damages, fines, penalties or other costs or expenses of any kind or nature, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to (i) your use of Mi Pay and/or the Services; (ii) your breach of these Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, or (iii) your violation of applicable laws or the rights of a third party.

This clause shall survive termination of these Terms of Use.

N. TRANSACTION ERRORS

If you believe that your Mi Pay Account has been compromised or an unauthorized transaction has occurred through your Account, you must immediately notify Xiaomi by calling us at 1800 258 6286 or by emailing us at service.in@xiaomi.com.

If due to an error of Mi Pay, there has been a credit/debit of an amount other than the correct amount selected by you while making the Payment, Mi Pay may credit/debit the extra amount.

If you erroneously make Payment to the wrong payee or initiate Payment for the wrong amount, you will have to contact the payee directly and seek refund. Xiaomi disclaims all responsibility for such erroneous transactions made by you.

All Payments on Mi Pay are final and such Payments cannot be refunded or cancelled once initiated.

O. ADVERTISERS/ THIRD PARTY LINKS IN MI PAY

Mi Pay may provide links to third party websites/applications. Xiaomi has no control over such third party websites/applications and you acknowledge and agree that Xiaomi is not responsible for the availability of such third party websites/applications, and it does not endorse and is not responsible or liable for any content, advertising, products or other materials on or available from such third party websites/applications. Such linked websites/applications are provided “as is” for your convenience only with no warranty, express or implied, for the information provided within them. You further acknowledge and agree that Xiaomi shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with your use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available on or through any such third party websites/applications. Any information shared with such third parties shall be in accordance with all applicable laws and governed by the Privacy Policy, available at https://h5.in.intl.mipay.com/term/index.html#privacy.

P. FORCE MAJEURE

Xiaomi shall not be held responsible for damage, loss, non-availability of the services, or deficiency in provision of the services, resulting directly or indirectly due to a fire, earthquake, flood, epidemic, strike, lockout, labour unrest, riot, civil disturbance, war, civil commotion, act of God, act of terrorism, court order, change in law, or any other circumstance which is beyond the control of Xiaomi.

Q. APPLICABLE LAWS, JURISDICTION AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION

These Terms of Use shall be governed by, interpreted and construed in accordance with the laws of India. All disputes arising out of or in relation to these Terms of Use shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bangalore.

UPI TERMS OF USE

You are bound by the following terms and conditions when you use the UPI services on Mi Pay (“UPI Terms of Use”).

A. General

The Unified Payments Interface (UPI) is an instant payment system developed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), which is an umbrella organisation for operating retail payments and settlement systems in India. It is an RBI regulated entity which allows you to instantly transfer money between bank accounts.

Mi Pay connects with the Unified Payments Interface (“UPI”) developed by the National Payments Corporation of India (“NPCI”), in partnership with ICICI Bank (“ICICI”), to facilitate person to person transactions and the purchase of goods and services from online and offline merchants.

Before you use UPI services on Mi Pay, you understand and agree to the following:

  • Xiaomi is a facilitator of payment transactions.

  • Xiaomi is not a party to any payment transactions.

  • Xiaomi is not a Payments System Provider (PSP).

  • Xiaomi is not responsible to you in any manner whatsoever, with respect to settlement of payment relating to the transaction.

  • Xiaomi is not and will not be responsible for any aspect of the products or services you purchase.

B. What can you do with Mi Pay?

Mi Pay offers the following features to its users:

  • Link or unlink your bank accounts to Mi Pay to facilitate transactions using the MPIN and the virtual payment address (VPA)

  • Link or unlink your bank accounts to Mi Pay to facilitate transactions using the MPIN and the virtual payment address (VPA)

  • Modify or reset the MPIN for your bank account

  • Check the balance of your bank account

  • Pay by scanning QR codes, including Bharat QR codes

  • Generate personal static/dynamic QR code for receiving payment from other UPI users

  • Manage your bank account

C. Your Account

You can create your profile on Mi Pay by entering your Mi Account details, name, virtual payment address (“VPA”, for example abc@icici).

C. Your Account

To add a bank account to your Mi Pay Account, please follow the below steps:

  1. Click on the “Add bank account” option.

  2. Select the bank you have an account with from the list of banks displayed. If the name of your bank is not in the list of UPI-member banks, you can add your bank account by providing the bank account number and the IFSC code. Such an unlisted bank account can only be used to receive payments. You will not be able to make payments with an account of an unlisted bank.

  3. If you have not registered your mobile number for mobile banking, you will need to contact your bank. You register your mobile number for this facility if you hold a valid debit card of the bank and have registered for SMS alerts from the bank.

  4. If you select a bank from the list, the bank will verify your mobile number via a One Time Password (OTP).

  5. Once the bank is selected, the bank account numbers registered against your mobile number will be displayed and you can select the bank account you want to link to Mi Pay.

E. Generation of MPIN and bank account Linking

Your bank account can be linked with Mi Pay in two ways:

  1. If you know your four-to-six digit Mobile Personal Identification Number (“MPIN”), you can click on “Link” and continue.

  2. If you have not already set your MPIN, you will see a “Set MPIN” option. You can click on the link and set the MPIN by entering the last six digits of your debit card number associated with your bank account and the expiry date of the debit card. The mobile number will be verified via an OTP. You can then enter your preferred numeric MPIN and click on “Submit”.

Every UPI transaction on Mi Pay has to be authenticated using your MPIN.

F. Balance Enquiry

You can check your bank account balance by following the below steps:

  • Click on “Balance Enquiry”

  • Select your VPA and your bank account

  • Click on “Send”

  • Enter your MPIN

Your bank account balance will be displayed after the MPIN is validated.

G. Send Money

After signing into Mi Pay, you can make a payment by following the below steps:

  • Click on “Send Money”

  • Enter the payee’s VPA and the amount to be sent. (Money can also be sent using the payee’s account number and IFSC code or mobile number and Mobile Money Identifier (MMID) number or Aadhaar number for an Aadhaar linked account.)

  • Select your bank account

  • Review the payment details and click on “Confirm”

  • Enter your MPIN to authenticate the transaction

The payment will be processed and you will be notified whether the transaction was a success or a failure. If it is a successful transaction, you will also get an SMS from the bank alerting you of the debit from your bank account.

H. Pay Using QR Codes

A QR code is made up of black modules arranged in a square pattern on a white background. The QR code QR contains the details necessary for making a payment. Mi Pay enables you to pay using QR codes.

  • Click on “Scan ‘n’ Pay”

  • Point the camera of your Device at the QR code and make sure that the QR code is scanned by Mi Pay

  • Check the payment details and click on “Confirm”

  • Enter your MPIN to authenticate the transaction

The payment will be processed and you will be notified whether the transaction was a success or a failure. If it is a successful transaction, you will also get an SMS from the bank alerting you of the debit from your bank account.

I. Collect Money

After signing into Mi Pay, you can collect a payment by following the below steps:

  • Click on “Collect Money”

  • Enter the payer’s VPA and the amount to be collected.

  • Select your bank account.

  • Review the payment details and click on “Confirm”.

A notification will be sent to the Payer with the details of your request. Once the payee accepts or declines the request, you will get a notification. If the payee accepts your collect request and it is a successful transaction, you will also get an SMS from the bank alerting you of the credit to your bank account.

J. Respond to a Collect Request

You can pay a collect request by following the below steps:

  • You will get a notification on your Mi Pay with the details of the payee’s request.

  • Click on the notification which will direct you to Mi Pay

  • Review the request

  • Click on “Accept” or “Decline”

  • Enter MPIN if you clicked “Accept” to authenticate the transaction

The payment will be processed and you will be notified whether the transaction was a success or a failure. If it is a successful transaction, you will also get an SMS from the bank alerting you of the debit from your bank account.

K. Change Your MPIN

You can change your MPIN by following the below steps:

  • Click on “Change MPIN”

  • Enter your current MPIN and the preferred new MPIN

  • Click on “Submit”

The MPIN change will be processed and you will be notified whether it was a success or a failure.

L. Recover Your Password

You can change your password in case you forget it by following the below steps:

  • Select “Forgot Password” at the time of signing in to Mi Pay

  • Enter your mobile number or email address

  • Enter Captcha

  • Enter OTP sent on relevant mobile number or email address.

  • Enter the new password

  • Click “Confirm”

You password will be changed and you can use the new password for signing in to Mi Pay.

M. Transaction limits

The amount of money that can be transferred per transaction is limited to Rs. 1,00,000 (Rupees One Lakh) defined by NPCI and individual banks.

N. Fees

Xiaomi reserves the right to introduce any fees or charges in the future. Please check with your bank for any transaction charges that may be applicable for transactions done through UPI using Mi Pay. Mi Pay will not notify users on any change or introduction of fees by respective banks or NPCI.

O. Transaction Errors

If you believe than your Mi Pay Account has been compromised or an unauthorized transaction has occurred through your Account, you should immediately notify Xiaomi by calling us at 1800 258 6286 or by emailing us at service.in@xiaomi.com

If due an error of Mi Pay, there has been a credit/debit of an amount other than the correct amount, Mi Pay may credit/debit the extra amount.

If you mistakenly send money to the wrong payee, you will have to contact the party you made the payment to. Mi Pay disclaims all responsibility for such wrong transactions conducted by you.

P. ICICI Bank's Terms

Mi Pay is offered by Xiaomi in association with ICICI Bank. Therefore, you will also be bound by the terms and conditions of ICICI Bank, available at https://www.icicibank.com/terms-condition/unified-payment-interface-tnc.page.

What is NPCI?

NPCI is an authorized payment system operator by RBI.  NPCI owns and operates UPI payment system.


What is PSP bank?

PSP is the banking company authorized to act as a Payment Service Provider (PSP) under the UPI framework. PSP engages the TPAP to provide UPI services to the end-user customers.


What is TPAPs?

Third Party Application Provider (TPAP) is an entity that provides the UPI compliant app(s) to the end-user customers to facilitate UPI based payment transactions. 


What is Customer’s Bank?  

The Bank where the end-user customer maintains his/her account that has been linked for the purpose of debiting/crediting the payment transactions made through UPI.

Who is End User Customer?

The end-user customer is the individual who uses UPI payment facility to send and receive payments.


We hereby confirm that:

  1. We Mi Pay are a TPAP authorized by NPCI to facilitate payments through PSP Bank namely ICICI BANK. We are a service provider and we participate in UPI through the PSP Bank.

  2. We are bound by the tripartite agreement entered with the sponsor PSP Bank ICICI Bank & NPCI. We are responsible for facilitating grievances/complaints resolution of the customers on-boarded on our UPI application.

  3. We shall be the first point of contact for all UPI related grievances/complaints for customers on-boarded by us.  In case the complaint/grievance remains unresolved, the next level for escalation will be the PSP Bank, followed by the bank (where you maintain the account) and NPCI in the same order. After exercising these options you can approach the Banking Ombudsman and / or the Ombudsman for Digital Complaints, as the case may be.

Bill Payment Services Terms of Use

A.General

1.Mi Pay allows you to view your bills and available pre-paid plans provided by various entities (“Billing Companies”), and make Payments towards the same (“Bill Payment Services”).

2.To enable Xiaomi to provide you with the Bill Payment Services, you may be required to provide details of your account with the Billing Company, including your account numbers, customer IDs, and registered phone numbers (“Billing Subscriber Information”). You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of your Billing Subscriber Information. Xiaomi may, but is not obligated to verify the Billing Subscriber Information provided by you. Xiaomi disclaims all liability with respect to the Billing Subscriber Information, including any inaccuracy or incompleteness thereof.

3.Billing Companies may provide bills, pre-paid plans and other information (“Billing Information”) through Mi Pay. Please check the Billing Information carefully before making Payments, and contact your Billing Company in case of any discrepancies. Further, the pre-paid plans provided as part of the Billing Information are only for reference, and may not be accurate. Please check with your Billing Company before making any Payments towards the same. The Billing Information is provided by Xiaomi “as is”, and Xiaomi disclaims all liability with respect to the Billing Information provided by the Billing Companies.

4.Payments are subject to the terms and conditions of the Billing Companies and other Payment Partners. Xiaomi shall not be liable for any delay in payments due to delays on the part of the Payment Partners or Billing Companies, including any mistakes in the Billing Information, or any delay, failure of Payments.

5.You may also be able to make Payments to Billing Companies other than as set out in a bill or a pre-paid plan. In such cases, the Billing Company may choose to accept/reject such Payment, at its discretion.

B.Refunds and Disputes

All refunds shall be processed according to the terms and policies of the Billing Companies and Payment Partners. Any disputes with respect to any bills, pre-paid plans or other Payments made to a Billing Company shall be resolved solely between you and the Billing Company, without any recourse to Xiaomi.


Roles & Responsibilities of NPCI

  1. NPCI owns and operates the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) platform

  2. NPCI prescribes rules, regulations, guidelines, and the respective roles, responsibilities and liabilities of the participants, with respect to UPI. This also includes transaction processing and settlement, dispute management and clearing cut-offs for settlement 

  3. NPCI approves the participation of Issuer Banks, PSP Banks, Third Party Application Providers (TPAP) and Prepaid Payment Instrument issuers (PPIs) in UPI

  4. NPCI provides a safe, secure and efficient UPI system and network

  5. NPCI provides online transaction routing, processing and settlement services to members participating in UPI

  6. NPCI can, either directly or through a third party, conduct audit on UPI participants and call for data, information and records, in relation to their participation in UPI

  7. NPCI provides the banks participating in UPI access to system where they can download reports, raise chargebacks, update the status of UPI transactions etc. 

Roles & responsibilities of PSP Bank

  1. PSP Bank is a member of UPI and connects to the UPI platform for availing UPI payment facility and providing the same to the TPAP which in turn enables the end-user customers / merchants to make and accept UPI payments

  2. PSP Bank, either through its own app or TPAP’s app, on-boards and registers the end-user customers on UPI and links their bank accounts to their respective UPI ID. 

  3. PSP Bank is responsible for authentication of the end-user customer at the time of registration of such customer, either through its own app or TPAP’s app 

  4. PSP Bank engages and on-boards the TPAPs to make the TPAP’s UPI app available to the end-user customers  

  5. PSP Bank has to ensure that TPAP and its systems are adequately secure to function on UPI platform

  6. PSP Bank is responsible to ensure that UPI app and systems of TPAP are audited to safeguard security and integrity of the data and information of the end-user customer including UPI transaction data as well as UPI app security 

  7. PSP Bank has to store all the payments data including UPI Transaction Data collected for the purpose of facilitating UPI transactions, only in India

  8. PSP Bank is responsible to give all UPI customers an option to choose any bank account from the list of Banks available on UPI platform for linking with the customer’s UPI ID.

  9. PSP Bank is responsible to put in place a grievance redressal mechanism for resolving complaints and disputes raised by the end-user customer 


Roles & responsibilities of TPAP

  1. TPAP is a service provider and participates in UPI through PSP Bank

  2. TPAP is responsible to comply with all the requirements prescribed by PSP Bank and NPCI in relation to TPAP’s participation in UPI 

  3. TPAP is responsible to ensure that its systems are adequately secure to function on the UPI platform

  4. TPAP is responsible to comply with all applicable laws, rules, regulations and guidelines etc. prescribed by any statutory or regulatory authority in relation to UPI and TPAP’s participation on the UPI platform including all circulars and guidelines issued by NPCI in this regard 

  5. TPAP has to store all the payments data including UPI Transaction Data collected by TPAP for the purpose of facilitating UPI transactions, only in India 

  6. TPAP is responsible to facilitate RBI, NPCI and other agencies nominated by RBI/ NPCI, to access the data, information, systems of TPAP related to UPI and carry out audits of TPAP, as and when required by RBI and NPCI

  7. TPAP shall facilitate the end-user customer with an option to raise grievance through the TPAP’s grievance redressal facility made available through TPAP’s UPI app or website and such other channels as may be deemed appropriate by the TPAP like email, messaging platform, IVR etc. 


Dispute Redressal Mechanism

        1. Every end-user customer can raise a complaint with respect to a UPI transaction, on the PSP app / TPAP app. 

        2. End-user customer can select the relevant UPI transaction and raise a complaint in relation thereto

        3. A complaint shall be first raised with the relevant TPAP in respect to all UPI related grievances / complaints of the end-user customers on-boarded by the PSP Bank / TPAP (if the UPI transaction is made through TPAP app). In case the complaint / grievance remains unresolved, the next level for escalation will be the PSP Bank, followed by the bank (where the end-user customer maintains its account) and NPCI, in the same order. After exercising these options, the end-user customer can approach the Banking Ombudsman and / or the Ombudsman for Digital Complaints, as the case may be.

        4. The complaint can be raised for both the types of transactions i.e. fund transfer and merchant transactions

        5. The end-user customer shall be kept communicated by the PSP / TPAP by means of updating the status of such end-user customer’s complaint on the relevant app i
